AT The Salon has proudly been part of the Lindfield community for over two years, offering a refined and welcoming space where exceptional hair care meets true relaxation.
Our founder, Alice Townes, created the salon with a clear vision: to build a calm, luxurious environment where every client feels cared for, confident, and completely at ease. From the moment you step through our doors, our focus is on providing not just beautiful hair, but an experience that feels indulgent, personal, and restorative.
Alice’s journey back to salon life began during the Covid pandemic, when the West End theatres went dark and the film industry temporarily paused. Having previously worked in the creative industries, she returned to her roots in hairdressing during this uncertain time. What began as a practical step forward quickly reignited a deeper passion — not only for the craft of hair, but for creating a business that could serve and support her local community.
As the world reopened, Alice was required to return to her pre-Covid contracts and step away from the small salon she had lovingly built. However, she always knew it was only the beginning. The dream of creating a truly special salon experience remained, waiting for the right moment to grow.
In 2023, alongside her husband, that dream became a reality. Together they founded AT The Salon — a space designed to combine luxury haircare, expert styling, and genuine warmth at the heart of Lindfield village.
Today, that original vision lives on through our talented team of stylists, who share a commitment to exceptional service, beautiful results, and ensuring every visit feels like a moment of calm in a busy world.
