Alice Townes
Founder & Creative Director
From humble beginnings as a 16-year-old apprentice with no idea where the “hairy industry” would lead, Alice Townes has built a remarkable career defined by passion, artistry, and determination.
Within just 10 months of stepping into her first salon, Alice became a Graduate Stylist — quickly making a name for herself through competitions and earning every possible qualification in her field. Her love for creativity and education took her to the next level, achieving a First-Class BA (Hons) Degree in Hair & Makeup for Theatre and Media, which opened doors to an incredible career in theatre and film. Over the years, Alice has worked behind the scenes on some of the biggest productions in the West End and beyond.
When the pandemic brought the entertainment world to a halt, Alice channelled her resilience into a new venture — opening a small two-chair salon, in a already established Beauty Salon. What began as a means of survival turned into a rediscovery of her passion for salon life and the connections it brings.
Today, Alice’s vision has evolved into AT The Salon, a vibrant and welcoming space she created with her husband. Combining high-end expertise with a warm, community-driven atmosphere, AT The Salon reflects everything Alice stands for — quality, creativity, and genuine care for every client who walks through the door.
Kirsty
Art Director
Kirsty has been with AT The Salon since the day it opened, and her creativity, professionalism, and passion have made her an invaluable part of the team. With over 35 years of experience in the hairdressing industry, she brings an exceptional depth of expertise and a strong editorial background to her role as Art Director.
Holding a Colour Degree and formerly serving as a Colour ID Artist for L’Oréal, Kirsty has shared her knowledge and skills by teaching advanced colouring techniques and inspiring other stylists across the South East. Her career has taken her around the world, working alongside leading professionals and continually expanding her craft. She firmly believes that no matter how long you’ve been in the industry, there is always more to learn and explore — a philosophy that has defined her lifelong dedication to hairdressing.
In addition to her salon work, Kirsty has channelled her artistry into film and television, styling actors for a variety of acclaimed productions. Her ability to combine creativity with technical precision makes her a true expert in her field.
Whether clients are looking for lived-in, sun-kissed colour, a bold transformation, or effortless, textured styling, Kirsty approaches every appointment with care, confidence, and an eye for detail. Her goal is always to make each client feel comfortable, valued, and truly special.
Amy
Senior Stylist
Amy is our newest member of the team and has been a perfect addition. She is is a highly experienced Senior Stylist with over 15 years in the hairdressing industry. She began her career as an Apprentice at Toni & Guy, spending 13 years with the company and progressing to the roles of Accessor and Educator, sharing her expertise and training fellow and upcoming stylists.
For the past two years, Amy has been working from home, offering professional mobile hairdressing services. She was ready to return back to salon life, bringing her extensive experience, creativity, and passion for hairdressing to AT The Salon.
Georgia
Senior Stylist
Georgia is our newest Stylist to join the team and we are thrilled to have her. She is a talented stylist with over five years of experience in the hairdressing industry and a genuine passion for both colour and cutting. Throughout her career, she has developed a strong eye for detail and a love for creating beautiful, personalised looks that enhance each client’s natural features and individual style.
Known for her vibrant energy and warm, bubbly personality, Georgia brings a positive and welcoming atmosphere to the salon.
Passionate about her craft, Georgia is always keen to continue learning and keeping up with the latest trends and techniques within the industry. She ensures every client leaves the salon feeling refreshed, confident, and truly their best.
Isabelle
Stylist
Isabelle is our youngest Stylist at AT The Salon, but she is not to be underestimated, bringing creativity, professionalism, and dedication to every client she works with. She trained at the Wella Studios in London, gaining a strong foundation in colouring, cutting, and styling techniques.
Committed to delivering personalised and stylish results, Isabelle combines technical expertise with a passion for hairdressing to ensure every client leaves the salon feeling confident and cared for.
Immie
Graduate Stylist
Immie is a valued member of the AT The Salon team, bringing enthusiasm and a willingness to learn to everything she does. Her supportive and caring nature make her an essential part of the salon’s general running.
Immie has been with us from the beginning so s Saturday girl, and has completed her Level 2 Hairdressing College course, marking the start of an exciting journey into the world of professional hairdressing.
She is continuing her studies with her Level 3 Hairdressing this year, and will go on to complete her Barbering NVQ as well.
We are thrilled to be part of her development and to support her as she builds her skills and confidence.
Immie is already proving to be a talented Stylist at AT The Salon, now starting to to take Blowdry and Cut&Style Clients. We can’t wait to watch her continue to grow!
Katie
Nail Technician
Katie joined AT The Salon to introduce nail services to the salon for the very first time, bringing creativity, precision, and a passion for beautiful nails.
After spending time working from home following the birth of her daughter, Katie is excited to return to the salon environment and share her talent with our clients.
She previously worked with Nails Inc., where she gained valuable industry experience and developed her eye for detail and current nail trends.
Katie works with leading professional brands including The Gel Bottle and Bio Sculpture, alongside other high quality products, allowing her to deliver long lasting, beautifully finished nails tailored to each client.
Known for her creativity, Katie enjoys working with both short and long nails and loves creating everything from classic, elegant looks to detailed nail art. Whatever your personal style, Katie is dedicated to creating a design that leaves you feeling polished, confident, and perfectly styled.
